Australian Outback Landscape Earrings
This work was made as part of Arbor's annual exhibition in 2017 with the theme Australiana.
Artist Statement: The landscape is framed like a picture, designed specially with a left and right side. The corrugated Sterling silver shapes suggest weather beaten, dead gum trees and as a reference to the Aussie corrugated tin roof. The small clusters of gold beads complete the framed scene expressing rock formations. The organic shaped boulder opals add Australian outback colours and nestle in yellow gold claw settings.
These earrings are made in sterling silver and 9c yellow gold and feature boulder opal. They measure 5.5cm long.
