Special jewellery orders April 23 2016
Did you know that almost every piece of jewellery in the store can be ordered in specially with adjustments? Whether it be a ring made just for your particular finger size or a tweak on an existing design, we can pretty much do it all. Because all our jewellers are based in Australia the turnaround times are short (up to 3 weeks usually).
Brigid was over the moon with her custom order Sunggee Min pearl rings: sterling silver, 18c yellow gold, white diamond and yellow sapphire.
Rings, rings, rings April 21 2016
We have so much new work arriving weekly we almost can't keep up! A wide range of rings are available in store (and soon to be online), including Emily Becher's super organic and oxidised sterling silver string rings, Ellinor Mazza's very matte hammer textured white gold band and Sarah Wallace's refined bezel set two-tone gold ring, featuring a gorgeous Australian Parti Sapphire.

Elise Newman slipped these beauties onto the shelf just days before Christmas...

Two become one October 30 2014
This wedding and engagement ring set is due for a major overhaul!
The cute pear shaped diamond has been cut off so the band can be melted and the original wedding band has been hammered out to resize it, but also to make it less like a wedding band. More progress shots to come....
UPDATE! The finished product was sent to a very happy client. 9c yellow gold with 5 citrines and a significant pattern
Jeweller of the Month - Kate Higgins October 15 2014
I thought we would take a closer look at some of the wonderful people who create the jewellery you adore. If you don’t already know, all the work at Arbor is made in Australia, mostly by independent designer/makers. That means one person who does it all – designs, makes, finishes and delivers.

Tell us a little about your journey to being a jeweller.
I've been making jewellery for 10 years now! Wow. I will forever be learning! I studied a Bachelor of Design originally, but to be honest I did the real learning on the job. Sitting for hours at a bench repeating the same hand skills over & over. I've been very fortunate to be taught & inspired by some fantastic jewellers.
What is the main process you use to create your work and why?
What is the biggest inspiration for you when creating work?
What's your ultimate love and hate part of the entire process of making a piece?
What jewellery skill would you love to learn more about in the future?
Amazing oval amethyst! August 07 2014
When I saw this stone that our customer had bought in Central America I was immediately in love. Not usually a huge fan of amethysts, this one was large, had a deep cut and a warm, dark purple colour with flashes of red. We decided that rose gold would be an unusual and interesting choice of metal to offset the red tones in the stone and that a wide claw setting would allow in lots of light. The finished piece is certainly a statement ring!
Boulder Opal Love August 04 2014
Our customer bought this Boulder Opal in Coober Pedy a number of years ago. "It called out to me", she explained. To get the full effect of the colours in this beautiful stone we decided a 9c yellow gold would suit best with 3 small champagne diamonds to really offset the colours and subtle sparkle.
The piece can be worn as a brooch as well as a pendant.
A peep hole at the back allows a view of the equally stunning underside of the boulder opal.
