A Celebration of New Talent November 02 2019
For over twenty years Melbourne Polytechnic has been nurturing talented new jewellers and releasing them into the world via a much anticipated graduate exhibition.
Held at the Northcote town hall each November, this exhibition is a launching place for new artists and has seen many now prominent Australian jewellers display the fruits of their labour to the world.
For the last four years Ellinor Mazza has been giving back to the jewellery community and expressing her passion for supporting new talent by offering a mentorship to one outstanding graduate.
Awarded based on the quality of work, eagerness to develop their collection and willingness to learn about navigating the retail world it is an extremely valuable award to receive.
The last two recipients of this award have gone on to develop some of our best selling ranges;
Amelia Marks has created a series of clever and colourful sublimation printed aluminium pieces that keep evolving with playful prints and fresh colour ways.
Bernie Ellen skilfully hand forges fine silver and gold into elegant curves and organic textures taking inspiration from the beauty of the natural world.
The show opens at Northcote town hall this Thursday 7th November at 6pm and will be open daily from 8/11 until 21/11.
